A Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Toronto, ON) student was one of 23 to be awarded recently by the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) (Toronto, ON) with one of its highest honours.
Manpreet Kaur Brar received the Carole and George Fletcher Foundation Award, created in recognition of the volunteer work of George and Carole Fletcher. Winners receive $350 and a certificate of recognition. Their respective schools receive a plaque that lists the Fletcher Foundation scholars.
Other award winners included students from Algonquin College (Ottawa, ON), the DeVry Institute of Technology (Calgary, AB) and Loyalist College (Belleville, ON).
The OACETT is a non-profit, self-governing association, which acts as the independent certifying body for engineering/applied science technicians and technologists.
