Agreement Signed Between Applied Biosystems and Qiagen
Applied Biosystems Group (Foster City, CA) and Qiagen NV (Venlo, the Netherlands) have entered into a licensing agreement under the expanded Applied Biosystems PCR licensing program.
The extended program includes patents for real-time PCR and other technologies not covered under previous terms — such as TaqMan® assay and the Dye-Intercalation Assay method — and follows a May 2005 agreement which indicated Applied Biosystems would be the sole licensor of Hoffmann-La Roche patents covering PCR reagents and methods.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
